This heirloom variety is the go-to spinach for many a farmer and gardener. Vigorous plants with deep green, curly leaves. Grows quickly, a real advantage in Michigan’s often short spring season. Best planted in cooler weather; summer sowings require partial shade and generous watering.

  • Full sun, tolerates light shade
  • Direct sow outdoors: March and again in September
  • Sow seeds 1/4” deep at 4”-8” spacing
