Lettuce, Supermodo (Lactuca sativa)
This butterhead lettuce forms a tender head of lime green leaves: a nice contrast to darker green lettuces in a salad. The flavor is classic butterhead, mild and almost buttery. Supermodo has limited heat tolerance; best planted in April and harvested before the summer heat, or as a fall crop.
- Full sun, tolerates light shade
- Direct sow or transplant: March-April and again August-September
- Sow seeds 1/4" deep at 3-4” spacing; thin to 8-12” spacing
- 50-60 days to maturity
