Lettuce, Redina (Lactuca sativa)
This brilliant red loose-leaf adds a touch of fiery color to both your garden and your salads. Crisp and flavorful with deeply curled leaves. Can be grown as a head lettuce, or sow 1/2" apart in a baby lettuce mix. Best planted in cooler weather, since lettuce seed does not germinate well at high soil temperatures.

- Direct sow or transplant: March-April and again August-September
- Sow seeds 1/4" deep at 3-4” spacing; thin to 8-12” spacing
- 55 days to maturity
